The Hammer of Go'el is a casual raiding and social RP guild for all the slackers of Azeroth (on the Moon Guard server) to have fun, to chat and to annoy one another (within reason.) Most of our members are working adults who don't always have the time for the grueling raiding schedules of the end-game guilds. The Hammer of Go'el and World of Warcraft are our refuge to escape the day-to-day drama of work, family, school, etc. and we want all of our members to feel comfortable and welcome.

While we do raid, we are a social community first. We do not feel forced to accept anyone just to "fill out the ranks" for raid groups, and playing a class that we are currently looking for does not mean automatic admission into the guild. We are looking for members who wish to join us and stay with us as we continue to work on instances, raids, and just horse around in-game. Understand that, as we run these instances, we are learning them. There will be days when we wipe a handful of times attempting to kill a boss. We are OK with that learning process, and if you wish to join us you should be to.

The following cannot be overstated:
we do not want guild-hoppers.

Don't apply to the Hammer because you feel you need a guild tag over your head while you wait to hear back from some other guild... or because you want to get yourself geared up so you can get into end-game guilds. Guilds are an important part of the MMORPG experience, and we want no ill will between the Hammer and any of the fine community of Moon Guard Horde guilds.

Therefore it is required that you be unguilded throughout the application process.

The application process lasts from the time you apply to the time you're interviewed; this could be a matter of hours to a few days depending on our guild schedule and the number of applicants we are fielding at the time.

We are currently recruiting all classes and races of level 40 and above. There are no other in-game requirements for being a member of the guild other than respecting your fellow players and using common sense. We want to be silly and have fun, but we want this to be a pleasant group for all our members to be a part of. If you find that something you are doing is bothering a guildmate, please stop. Even though fun is the name of the game, maturity is equally important.

In keeping with our requirement of proper maturity, and in light of the fact that we are a guild of working adults, we ask that applicants be at least 18 years old. Some exceptions may be made with proper consideration from the Hammer officer corps.

Some suggestions for potential applicants:

• If you wish to instance or raid regularly with the guild, make sure you have Ventrilo installed and configured on your computer. A microphone is not required, but is preferred; one of the best parts of our community is chatter on the Ventrilo server, and participating in it is a great way for us to get to know you.
• Be honest about your skills, experience, and gear. There is no reason to exaggerate about yourself. The Armory will bear out your character's skills and gear for all to see, and your aptitude for the game will be self-evident when others play with you. We're about the person, not the player, so don't feel pressured into making yourself look amazing.
